Visit from Cranbrook
Last week was an exciting week here at FCMA! The lower elementary had a visit by Cranbrook Institute of Science they brought their traveling star lab. The children were able to enter the lab and see constellations and were told the stories behind them. It was fascinating! In the Catalpa room the children then made constellations out of tooth picks and marshmallows. In art class the children started a night time city scene using paint and oil pastels and they will finish the pictures next week.
The kindergarten class in the Magnolia room learned during their Asia studies that in Thailand some families shop at a floating market. The children in Thailand even take a water taxi to school! How amazing!

Nathan, 1-3 YearI like FCMA because we use special materials. We are allowed to research what we want. We have fun activities and interesting presentations. We make posters that we can hang in the halls too. We are creative.
