Pledge

My pledge to my child...

As a PARENT, GRANDPARENT, or CARING ADULT of a student at Four Corners Montessori Academy (FCMA), I hereby give my pledge of commitment to help our children achieve a truly independent future. My declaration of responsibility and commitment to my public charter school is stated in these five self evident truths, based on words spoken by President Woodrow Wilson:

  1. As Americans, we are the owners of the public school system.
  2. As owners, we bear a responsibility to participate in the system.
  3. Accountability for our charter public school, our children’s safety, its employees and its funding rests with us and the rest of the public school system's owners.
  4. Our children's future depends on the improvement of our public charter school.
  5. And, this improvement depends on our participation.

Therefore, as a PARENT, GRANDPARENT, or CARING ADULT, I take personal responsibility for my child's safety and education and the safety and education of the children in this FCMA community.

  • I pledge to volunteer a minimum of 15 hours of my time to my charter public school, FCMA, each semester.
  • I pledge to spend a minimum of fifteen minutes each school night reading with my child, or we will work together on homework and/or enrichment activity.
